3 Star Cylinder lock concerns?

Spender£

A large house on the corner of our street had a botched break-in attempt through the back door this week. The person apparently picked through the 3 star Ultion cylinder to get into the conservatory and was then disturbed before trying the patio doors.
I have the supposedly best cylinders Ultion and abs and have noticed how easy they are to pick by pro locksmiths in you-tube videos.
As the lock was picked and not snapped Ultion refused to pay out the grand.
Yale 3 star seems harder to pick but could be easier to bump or maybe ERA Fortress, i don't know what to think?
How concerned should i be?:(

Burglars don't normally have that kind of skill, the Youtube vids are in a controlled environment; very different to picking out in the open.
As long as it has 3 stars and kitemark it has passed the main tests ( i think Sold Secure has their own tests though).
The Yale is might be harder to pick but locksmiths have to be able to pick them in case you get locked out, you really can't win however, if picking becomes common then were all in trouble.
At least with the Ultion you have the £1000 guarantee against snapping (don't see Yale,Era,Avocet,Federal or Abus putting their money where their mouth is.Enjoy everyday like it's your last!0 -
I think you'll find most (all?) of the best cylinders on the market can be picked by somebody with enough skill. As above though, most opportunistic burglars probably do not have the skill and are far more likely to either try a smash and grab or bump/snap the cylinder. Still worth having for this reason I think.
A determined and skilled enough burglar will probably still get in if they want to.0
