    Well we must be lucky
I have ordered loads of times most recently last month
I have never been charged anything other than my original orders

People say it is only on the timed offer screens after your initial purchase
I always close the screen after I had paid

It seems to me that whilst cheeky, it is as always the customers responsibility to read everything they are clicking on properly

We have ordered loads of business stuff & personal over £600 easily in total, they have always posted quickly, items are great value & as described
"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

It is not an opt-out, it is definitely an opt-in as I have never fallen for this, and I've ordered stuff from Vistaprint regularly for the last few years.

For the record I am very happy with their service and I don't mind if it's a bit cheaper for me because some people opt-in to something without even noticing it - it's their fault.
  • I have used vistaprint and until today never thought anything bad about it. My wife has been stung by the comapny that is behind the 'scam' by signing up for a free credit check. The company is an affiliate of a company in America called Venture Ltd and it makes $650m a year from it!! Just waiting on the day someone decides to place in the small print that they now own my house because I bought something from them!!

Well, I was scammed by Vistaprint as well - over £145 charges on my account since May 2008. On the statement they show up as "highstreetmax.com" and I just assumed that I bought something from Highstreet shops - silly me. It was Vistaprint charging my account for their "free" businesscards.

I think there is a genious behind it: they charge most if not all customers accidently every single month. Like myself, a very large number of people won't notice this. If you want a refund, they give full refund very quickly to avoid legal problems.

The end result: millions flooding in to their account nevertheless.

And it is all legal, money for nothing. Brilliant.

I used to use vistaprint, they signed me up for their VIP reward programme and I called them about it and refused to pay their charge, it would appear that there is a box somewhere on the online order that you either tick or untick to opt out of the scheme.

I use Printing.com now as they have good deals and their standard of printing and quality of items is much much better than Vistaprint.

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver!
Ive never had a problem with them. I did notice that they ask whether you would like to sign up to their scheme and I said no I didnt.

I reckon a lot of people must tick the yes box without reading the implications of it all.
  • I bought some magnetic car signs on offer from vista print. I took them off to clean the car only 2 weeks after putting them on and they have caused the paintwork underneath my new car to fade. I cannot get the discolored squares to go without a respray. I have since looked online and this has happened to loads of people. How are they getting away with causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to people's property???

I think it is the same for all magnetic car signs..you are not supposed to leave them on your car for weeks on end. Have you tried T-cut on the coloured squares?
  • Yes, tried T-cut and it won't move it. Can't see the point in selling signs if they are not supposed to be on your car. Vistaprint don't give you any warning information when you order them. The small print on the disclaimer that they eventually forwarded to me says do not use in sunny conditions! (I put them on in February) They should read just dont use!
