Hi,
Looking for advice please if anyone can help.
Bought sofa from SCS 31/3/2018, it finally arrived after 2 failed deliveries due to it not arriving on time to distribution centre, eventually arrived 2/6/2018.
noticed while delivery team were still here that damage to seat and sofa, phoned through to Cust Svcs wanted tech team to visit as couldn't just rely on my word, next appoint was 3 weeks later. been offered repair which i declined, and now stuck between rock and hard place as they offered replacement but dont wont anything to do with them anymore, customer service is terrible,no replies from emails, messages via voicemail spoke to manager at store where purchased he said i'll put notes on account no notes on account.
any help would be greatly apprciated.
oh paid for via credit card and finance if that helps in anyway
thanks

Tell them you're exercising your short term right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as the goods didn't conform to contract.
Preferably tell them in some form of writing (even email) so you can produce a copy of it/prove you rejected it from the outset.
If they don't play ball, you can also contact your card company or the finance company and start a section 75 claim. Section 75 of the consumer credit act makes the creditor jointly & severally liable for performance of the contract. Meaning if you have a claim in law against the supplier, you have the exact same claim against the creditor. If the creditor reject your claim (or if 8 weeks pass without the creditor giving you a decision), you can refer it to the financial ombudsman which will be at no risk or cost to you.You keep using that word. It’s over 30 days, and I can’t see any repair attempts which would have paused this. Is it not too late to do this...0 -
But OP reported the fault immediately ... the 30 days clock stops ticking at that point (as I understand it).
OP may have been better off rejecting the goods on delivery and getting the delivery people to take them away right then.0 -
