e-rewards (payments for opinions) - watch out, they're closing accounts down

If anyone has had the misfortune of dealing with e-rewards (https://www.e-rewards.co.uk/home.do) check your account to see if it's been closed.
Bad stuff all over the net about these closures, and how difficult it is to get your points back again - pretty obvious what they're up to, and why.
Warning, though - waste your time on surveys for these people and you may just find all your points wiped out forever and for no reason.

I’ve been succesfully using them for a number of years and I’d estimate that I’ve earned 8-10,000 Avios per year so I’m happy with them. I don’t currently have enough points to convert to Avios but even if I lose a load I’ll just put it down to one of those things. There are worse things in life.0

That's pretty much the way I felt - until I tried to log into the account recently and found myself locked out. They'd deactivated the account for no apparent reason.
Exactly the same for my wife's account too - deactivated and locked out.
Contacted them to ask them to reactivate the accounts and they refused - came up with some c ock and bull story about having two accounts in one name, despite the fact that there are two entirely separate accounts for two entirely separate people.
It's a scam to get rid of accumulated points - check around online and you'll find that they're doing it on a massive scale. Whether they have financial problems or whether it's just a straight piece of theft I have no idea, but short of legal action and warning other people what they're up to there's not a lot you can do about it.0 -
Very frustrating. I’m only about 60 points away from enough to redeem the minimum amount and may well do that now just in case. I normally wait for the full 2,000.
Thanks for the heads up.0 -
Mine go straight on to my Accor account, that seems to be a better arrangement.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I've particpated in eRewards for years but in the last couple of days it's changed.
They no longer seem to offer any points for partial survey's.
That means you can waste hours on a few surveys and get nothing back as your booted out at the last minute.
What s shame and good-bye eRewards!0
