Pioneer Plasma TV - any good?

Hi everyone, forgive me if this is the wrong place to be asking this question, but my mum is after a plasma TV. I read on the site about the Egg 17.5% cashback thing through Currys tomorrow and so whilst having a browse of the currys site saw an offer they currently have on the Pioneer 43 inch HDTV ready Plasma TV model Number PDP435FDE. They are offering it for £3000 with a few freebies thrown in such as Matsui portable DVD, Ferguson 17 inch LCD and a glass stand. By my reckoning, with the cashback from Egg, the whole package should come in at below £2500. My questions are:
1. Is this a decent deal?
2. Is this a decent TV?
3. I'm unsure whether the Pioneer TV (or the free Ferguson one) comes with built in speakers. Can anybody tell me whether either of then do or dont?
ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!
