    Swift payments can go through several banks before reaching destination account. It all depends on who your UAE bank peer with.
    In this case Lloyds, who will then pass it on.

  • The SWIFT message would simply confirm that they have passed the money onto Nat West - not into the actual account.
    If you no longer hold a Nat West account  IMO your only option is to get the UAE bank to recall the payment and start again - expect to lose out though agent fees and exchange rates.
