Is it possible to get Virgin Media Cable TV without Phone service?

Hi all,

I want to get Virgin's cable TV service but without any of the other services such as phone or broadband. However, when i try to sign up online and select the TV service, i get to the option of having the phone service and select that i don't want it but then i get to the next page and the page says i have selected to have the phone service.

My dad phoned them up and they said it is possible to have the TV service without the phone service but we could order over the phone but i want the £55 quidco cashback, but the guy couldn't give him a reason as to why it wouldn't work online. Anyone able to help?

you can def have the broadband/tv without having the phone service as i lived in a house where there were 3 seperate accounts, 1 with virgin which was tv and internet, no phone, and 2 other cable providers for the other 2 people. Not one had a home phone installed. As for doing it online, i'm not sure, maybe tell them yu do not trust giving your details out on the phone or have to pay online for some reason?

    Thanks,

I think you can only get it via the Sales number and not online which is annoying. Do you think i could get away with doing it online and selecting both the digital TV and phone but then phoning up to say i made a mistake and only want the digital TV so i can get the quidco cashback?

    Thanks

Not sure tbh, if it's a contract they might say you'll have to cancel the whole set of services. It is do-able that way as my friend did it but he had had the tv and broadband for a while and then cancelled the tv which left the broadband, and not straight away. you'll have to look into your cancellation rights on their terms and conditions. Never used quidco, maybe this will bump your post so someone who uses that site can reply. if it was me, i'd just phone up and ask them how to order tv only via internet, maybe you'll get a more useful rep this time?
