Talktalk Computer Fault Overcharging

My bill contains charges for calls to other Talktalk customers. I am advised that this is a computer error, however, unless the customers contact Talktalk for a refund none will be made. So all Talktalk customers, I suggest that you check your bill and take the appropriate action.
It is also necessary to check whether your account is as you think it should be as they seem to be altering accounts without advicing their customers.
I leave it with you.

I have had a similar experience with bills for both my phone lines. In spite of a letter advising the predial for European calls was no longer necessary I have been charged for calls to Barcelona in Spain. A South African call centre advised me Barcelona was NOT(!) in Spain because it was in Catalonia, which was supposedly a sovereign state, not part of the Spanish mainland. No amount of persuasion would change their mind.
I asked to speak with a supervisor, who towed the same line, apparently looking at a map of Europe (I'm not sure which century his edition was from).
In the end, irate to say the least, I asked to be put through to the disconnections department, which I guessed (correctly) was going to be here back home. I explained the problem to an advisor and told him unless they credited my account for the incorrect charges I would leave.
To be fair to him he understood the problem, credited me immediately and suggested I CONTINUED USING THE PRE-DIAL FOR EUROPEAN CALLS to avoid the hassle. I would advise the same to everybody else with the Talktalk International package.0 -
Yes it seems that Talktalk are set to make a huge profit for their mistake. So far all those that I know who are on Talktalk are finding they are being charged for non chargeable calls.0
