  • Hi

Sorry to hear about your daughters dog. Have a look on the RSPCA website for a list of their own vetinary services. I've just got this off their website, dont know if its of any use to you tho

    Subsidised veterinary assistance
RSPCA companion animal hospitals provide low-cost treatment for animals belonging to people in receipt of certain state benefits or to those who otherwise cannot afford the fees of a private veterinary surgeon

If your daughter is in receipt of benefits, it could be worth checking out.

How about asking the vet practice that she uses if she could pay the bill off monthly?? I dont know if this is possible, but again, worth finding out.
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o
  • hi, sorry i did mean to say that we phoned the rspca and they only give upto £50 off and our local vet don,t do the op ,we have to take him to a specialist so no hope of paying monthly..thanks for trying to help.

Would the PDSA be any help to you.

  • thanks,, i tried pdsa but we are not within their help region
  • Only other ones i can think of are the Blue Cross ? I know its a lot of money but cant you speak to your vet? My friend had a large bill for a horse once and the vet let her split it into monthly payments. He would rather get the money that way , than have to chase after it . Worth asking ? Good luck!

I know you have said that you dont want to put the dog down but has the vet said what its quality of life be like after the operation? will it need to have similar surgery later in life? what sort of sucess rate does the operation have?
