czech seller issues

Bought a car part off of cars-equipment.com based in czech republic, paid £20 for it to be shipped here however they sent me the wrong part. They have said over the phone they will refund me but i have to send the item back by special delivery to ensure they get it which will be another £20 and i'm not confident they will even refund me. Especially after reading the reviews on trust pilot.

I'd say contact your bank as a chargeback for defective merchandise (assuming you paid by debit card) but typically your bank will ask you to return the item. Might be worth speaking to your bank to check though.
