I stayed for two weeks in an AirBnB down in East Village. Such an amazing area and it was a good bit cheaper than a hotel.

When I went to NY, I stayed here:

Prices where about half the price of other central hotels. Room wasn't huge but it suited us, we spent pretty much all of the time outside of the hotel. We only went back to drop stuff off and sleep. Not sure what the prices are like now, put your dates in and see

Congrats on your win. I've been to New York a few times with work. I can reccomend staying in Seacaucus New Jersey, there's a short bus ride through the Lincoln Tunnel and you're in New York City. Its by a big exposition centre so there's load of reasonable motels (best western, days inn, travel lodge etc) and loads of restaurants too and the buses stop right outside most of the hotels. You don't get the buzz of staying overnight in the big city though but the buses run really late so I never felt like I was missing out. Have fun!

Congrats, I also stayed in New Jersey, it was an easy trip. keep looking though as you can get deals - travel zoo, last minute expedia. also look on this site. Have a fab time
