Hi there, can anyone help me solve this! for about two days now i've noticed a greyish vertical strip down the screen of my laptop. can it be fixed easily?

In short, no. It can be but it won't be cheap.0

Learn to live with it if you can, as Conor said earlier it could prove expensive.
But, just as a trial, try pressing GENTLY on the screen top and bottom, where the line starts and ends. Sometimes it's due to a bad connection.0
