MC067 Suspicious Buyer...but they have paid

I listed a widget (BIN), which was purchased almost immediately.
The buyer has a shop which sells these particular widgets. I listed cheaply just to get shot, so he will probably resell and make a few quid.
I then received the MC067 email and the buyer is now no longer registered
He only joined ebay today, probably just to buy the item.
Live chat have told me not to send the item, but they have paid and the money is still in my Paypal account.
As all my listings are BIN, I have never had the MC067 email. Can anyone advise?
Many thanks

This happened to me before. I sold a pair of brand new headphones and the guy asks for a cable. It was a just a basic 3.5mm jack, he said he bought one and when he got the headphones they didn't work and requested a refund. Total scam. I refunded and let him keep the headphones because I didn't want a creepy scammer to get my address. I went to give feedback and he'd disappeared from ebay, no longer registered. I was a new eBayer and wanted to encourage people to give me feedback as a seller.
He reappeared sometime later. I have no idea what happened, but I suspected it was something to do with eBay suspending his account for some reason or another.0 -
Apologies, he has a B&M shop.
He has registered, bought the widget, paid and then closed his account.
Ebay say it is suspicious and not to send.0 -

By the looks of things, he can't leave feedback. There is just a couple of dashes.0 -
I just don't understand why ebay would not want the item sent when he has paid. It's only £20.00.0

Just a stab in the dark, could it be that only when the payment information comes through that the account becomes "linked" with a bad / banned account and is therefore immediately closed.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I had this a couple of times and the scammers were paying using hacked Paypal accounts.0 -
Doesn't Paypal say "Payment can still be reversed" in their payment notice?

The OP is a regular here so will know about seller protection requirements on PayPal I suspect.
Just as a guide (and there is a sticky thread with details) , the only way a payment can be reversed if it buyer claims an unauthorised use (i.e. Fraud) use of card, and that is easily defended with proof of postage alone.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
