Google Chrome Favourites

Have started using Chrome browser, and everything going well.

However, when using IE, Favourites are displayed as a side bar, whereas they are placed at the top in Chrome.

There are certain folders I use, containing up to 20 web addresses. In IE, I can keep the folder open and see all addresses, using Chrome, this doesn't seem possible. The folders close as soon as an item is clicked.

Is there an extension or way to keep folders open please until I decide to close?

One way to do it is to press Ctrl+Shift+O to open the bookmarks list in a new tab. When you double-click on a bookmark it opens in a new tab and keeps your bookmarks list open.

(Tested on Chrome in Windows 7).
