Ok, was given an old Radeon HD4350 graphics card which has a HDMI connection and a VGA one too. I am trying to acheive getting sound to the TV I am using as a PC moitor too. I have connected the HDMI lead to the graphics card and the other end to the TV
I installed this into my Dell Vostro 220s PCI-e slot and changed the BIOS settings to use this slot from Onboard.
But I cannot get the card to work, but cant see what I am doing wrong.
Looking in the Device manager settings I cannot see it listed.
Faulty card maybe or settings/ non compatibilty issue...can you help
Any ideas please
Thanks as usual

If the card needs a six pin connector (unlikely on those cards) then this needs to be connected as well.
The card needs to be clipped in place using the bracket on the right hand side of the PCI-Ex 16 slot and no gold connectors on the bottom of the card should be on show when its installed.
If its not showing up in Device Manager it usually means either its not installed/pushed in properly or powered as above, or its defective. If you're able to try it on another computer do so and if it doesn't work there then you know its a new tool to prop the door open with.0 -

Many thanks will give your ideas a shot:j0 -
That card do not require extra power.
unplug the card.
go to BIOS and make VGA output as auto.
If you choose onboard, it means video signal output from onboard graphic, not 4350.
Plug back the card and see if it works.0 -

I think you misread the OP,changed the BIOS settings to use this slot from Onboard.0
