Age UK insurance - better options?
whattochoose
I'm in my 60's and now live in sheltered accommodation.
Last year I took out contents insurance with Age UK, having previously been insured by Halifax for years.
As yet, I haven't needed to make a claim with Age UK, and the process of taking out insurance with them was easy enough.
All the same, I wondering what people on here generally think of them and whether there are more value for money, financially attractive options out there I should be considering?
Thank you.

This is simply a branding exercise: the policy is administered and run by Aegeas. You'd almost certainly get a better price by using a comp site such as confused.com.
There's really nothing about contents insurance that is age-related.
Presumably Age UK get a cut from Aegas for the use of their brand, but you can always donate directly if you wish.
Use the same provider year on year and they will hike the cost at every renewal unless you challenge it.No free lunch, and no free laptop
