How can we know?? There is no link, so we cannot even peruse the vendor details.
Nor is there a Lenovo thinkpad x22p. There is a Lenovo Thinkpad X220. The device itself was fine seven years ago, but how can we know the condition of a device we cannot see nor about which we can read?
Why is it that you cannot post a link?0 -
Sorry have corrected it
I am using phone
And it does not give me option to post link
Its on ebay a refurbished oneNice to save.0 -
As aforementioned, the device was good seven years ago. If in good condition and with a half decent battery, it's fine.
This one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X220-Core-i5-2520M-2-50GHz-4GB-RAM-320GB-HDD-Cam-Win-7-Pro/273181195653
Fitted with a solid state drive, even better; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UD5PhlsL2M

Have a look in the Dell home refurb section for scratch/denten/unboxed.There are often some new? ok spec laptops there for about £2190

If going that route, don't forget the discount code; http://www.dell.com/learn/uk/en/ukdfh1/campaigns/first-time-customer-dell-outlet-uk
http://www.dell.com/learn/uk/en/ukdfh1/campaigns/splitter
Nothing there for £219, as that didn't take into account that the prices are VAT exclusive.
But with the discount code the Inspiron 15 - 5570 works out to £236.52.
But that is already £100 over your initially indicated budget.0 -
I have one of those lenovos. It came with win 8 1, not the most user friendly version but it worked. On!y real issue was weak sound and no fan ( has some sort of alternative cooling system. ) Battery life is about 4 hours. But it's ok and it still works. Best thing is the multi way folding case.0

If you buy any laptop with a conventional disk, factor in replacing that with an SSD. So, choose a model where swapping the disk out is a very simple matter.0

Spend a little bit more and get this...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-T430-Intel-i5-3rd-Gen-3320M-2-60GHz-8GB-RAM-128GB-SSD-Win-10-NEW-BAT/123190548655?hash=item1caeba98af:g:gCMAAOSwvDpbEjyR
Or this...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T410-Core-i5-2-67GHz-180GB-SSD-8GB-RAM-4337-DOCK-WIN-10-PRO/263802139123?hash=item3d6bd531f3:g:w~sAAOSwzcpbQSRK
I've no issues with older laptops but the mechanical drive on the one you're talking about is the killer and ideally you want 8GB RAM and Win 10.
My choice would the T430 of the ones i've listed.0 -
I'm fully with the T430 with SSD built in idea from motorguy
My old T400 does all home stuff perfectly but I wouldn't expect it to be any good for gaming of course.0
