Hi there,
I am currently a sky customer on the 2 mixes package, paying about £17.00 per month. Would like to upgrade to sky+ and have had a look on the website but the are looking to charge me £179.00 for it. Does anyone have any tips on how to get it cheaper, I don't want to take out any of that other stuff they are trying to punt, broadband or skytalk,
Cheers,

I phoned Sky, told them I wanted a Personal Video Recorder, but couldnt justify the cost of Sky and a PVR, so wanted to cancel. The offerd me Sky+ for £49. Im not sure if they still do this though, so Id check the Digital spy Forum before you do anything"I'm not even supposed to be here today."0

I tried to get an upgrade on my digi-box yesterday. They wanted £149 for sky+ and said they have no offers on at the mo.
Bet if I said yes to their broadband or talk there would have been.0 -
I've just upgraded for £79. It was going to be £130, but when I asked about a recon box instead, which are normally £60, I think, the guy came back with this offer for new, no contest.0

You could DIY. Buy a used Sky+ Digibox, fit a quad-otput LNB to your dish and run an additional cable. Then phone Sky to give the new serial number and get the card activated.0
