How does it stand with PPS parking tickets.

I have read various messages how people are ignoring parking tickets through private firms. I have been caught by the parking eye leaving a car park a maximum of 15 mins over the time paid for on the display ticket. I have ignored letters and now have ips debt collectors trying to request the money from me. I have until the 10th of this month to get sorted before it goes to the supreme court. What should i do? If anyone can help please
