in Credit cards
Reserved a hotel on booking.com via Credit card 1 on the understanding we would be charged if we cancelled with insufficient notice or didn't turn up.
When we checked out, we used a different card to settle the amount owed, which was the full amount.
Now we see that booking.com have charged the full amount to the first credit card and the hotel have charged the full amount to the second credit card.
Contacted booking.com and supplied evidence of both charges via statements. They've forwarded this evidence onto the hotel. Heard nothing since and now neither are responding.
Where do we go from here? Can we report this as a problem to either CC ? We did authorise both transactions, but we clearly didn't expect to be charged twice.

If you used a Credit card is should be plain sailing if you contact you credit card company - It is a shame that neither of the companies will operate legally without intervention though - and I wont be using Booking.com fro m here inIf I ruled the world.......0

Disputes with 3rd party booking agents such as booking.com are really common
If you can evidence that you have paid for the same service twice then you will have a valid dispute against either merchant. Id probably dispute the payment made to the hotel as you had already paid in advance.0
