Making a start of rebuilding my credit rating!

After being discharged from bankruptcy and having (almost) completely cleared up my credit file, I today received my Vanquis credit card in the post.
This is the first step I am taking to rebuild my credit file, in hope that in 5 years time I will be able to get a mortgage at a reasonably low interest
.
My limit is £250, I am wondering, would it make any difference credit wise if I spend say £100 each month on this card and ring up a few days later to pay it off, instead of waiting for my direct debit to pay in full?
I also have a mobile phone contract with EE for £20pm which I hope is slowly making a difference. Thanks.

Always wait for the statement, then clear in full.0

As ZX81 says. If you pay off before the statement date then it doesn't look as though you are using the card.0
