Im trying to plan my first holiday with my girlfriend in september 14th or thereabouts for 14 nights, trouble is whenever im presented with too much information my mind switches off ! I cant decide where to go to.
Im looking to book a last minute holiday to croatia or miami beach or anywhere else really, somewhere very stylish and trendy with a good beach and a good hotel.
Is it best for me to leave any enquiries until nearer the time and see whats available and choose then ?
budget of about £700, but the cheaper the better
Anyone help with some ideas or maybe a short list of destinations ?
thanks

Is the budget £700 for both of you or £700 per person.Charles J0

£700 per person0

In that case you could go on BA in Club class to Nice, most places in eastern Europe, most of Italy, Paris or Stockholm for less than £250 per person flight only. With the $450 left over you could get a decent hotel as well.
If you're anything like me, I prefer not to go to the usual places. Stockholm is very cool as is Riga in Latvia and Krakow in Poland. I love all the old communist countries in eastern Europe.
If its you and your girlfriend its probably best you don't take her on a low cost carrier like easyjet. It won't look good.Charles J0 -
thanks for the reply, we have been away before to Amsterdam, that was only for the weekend.
were looking for a beach holiday this time for 14 nights, something classy0 -
For a classy beach holiday your best bet is Nice, Monaco, the UAE or the Carribbean. Florida is fine but not all that classy. Los Angeles or Dubai are good places to go if you want to mix a city and a beach holiday. Dubai has lots of 5 star hotels at a price equal to some 3 or 4 star hotels in this country.Charles J0

Carribbean, September is main hurrican season in fact all that area I would avoid, You might be lucky and not get 1 but last year they had several.
The Red Sea would be nice and you would get a good standard of AI for your 700.
Have a look at https://www.longwoodsholidays.co.uk or https://www.peltours.co.uk
or have a look at https://www.mercury-direct.co.uk closer to the time you might get something really really nice off there
https://www.travelbag.co.uk where advertising 10 ngihts in Thailand for a little under £500 but dont know when for.
https://www.travelmood.co.uk also have some good offers on the far east
and because Sri Lanka (which is all safe now) is trying very hard to get people back there so good deals can be found for there too, but not sure on the monsoon season maybe someone esle can clairfyIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
The hurricane season is predicted to be bad this year. Sea temperatures in the spawning grounds are 3 degrees warmer than usual which is apparently a bad thing. So best not to gamble on it this season.saveapenny wrote:Carribbean, September is main hurrican season in fact all that area I would avoid, You might be lucky and not get 1 but last year they had several.0 -

"Florida is fine but not all that classy."
Depends on where you go in Florida ...
If you want the Orlando type holiday then class is not what you get. However, there are some hidden gems if you look for them.0
