can anyone recommend a tablet stylus?

Needs to be a pointy one not one of those silly rounded end ones. Not too expensive either. And do any shops actually sell them?

I don't think that's true. There are only two types of stylus - capacitive and resistive, and most tablets require a capacitive stylus. Resistive are for things like Nintendo DS, Leappads etc.

It is for a Samsung Tablet and I don't care about a button as I find buttons annoying.

Maybe...

Tablet market not that big and too fragmented for any vendor to spend time and money making and marketing enough of them so it’s easy to find the right one.

I can’t help you as I use the Apple Pencil which is no good to you.

Ah, you see this highlights the problem! The stylus you have linked only works on a tablet with the rounded end. The pointy end is a resistive stylus and works with Nintendo DS and Satnavs etc. And it really !!!!es me off! I dont want a rounded end stylus there are hundreds of them out there.

I got one of these EBAY for my android tablet, it works but its not ideal.

I get the impression from this YouTube video that a capacitive touchscreen does not respond if the conducting digit/stylus has less than some minimum area in contact with the screen.
