Just use the key in the driver's door when you leave the car and vice versa when you return.
It locks and unlocks all the doors.
Now that has to be moneysaving.

Its moneysaving but you're denying yourself the benefit of the technology for the price of a £20 or so key repair.

Spread that "cost" over several years and its a few pence per day. Well worth it.

Likewise, come resale time, the car will be worth significantly less too.

I second (third?) the option of going to Timpsons.

I got a replacement key for a Toyota Aygo although I opted for the cheaper one without the remote locking as it was just as a spare as we bought the car with only one key.

The Timpsons man put the key in a little machine and it told him all the characteristics of it.
For some keys, they have to go out to your car after creating it to program but he said the machine told him it wouldn't be required for the Aygo.
I think I paid about £45 for the non remote and the remote one was 20 or 30 quid extra if I wanted that type.

If you have a Timpsons in any of the supermarkets you visit then it will be worth popping in just for them to give you the cost.

    Hope this helps.
