Being potentially charged for oven cleaning

I’ve lived in this rented property for two and a half years. We are cleaning the house ready to hand the keys back on Friday. We’ve cleaned it from top to bottom, including the oven. It doesn’t look too bad, although there’s some grease at the bottom that won’t come off easily. I messaged my landlord about this to see what…

Yes, they also take into account general cleaning after general use. If you cleaned every time, there wouldn't be such a difficulty to clean now, though you can ofcourse do it in whatever order you choose during your tenancy.

There is an allowance for fair wear & tear in so things can get WORN down, but the property must be returned in the same level of CLEANLINESS.
e.g. floors: worn down in high traffic areas = ok. debris on floor = not ok
e.g. sofas: saggy through use = ok. spillage = not ok
e.g. oven: dials worn down = ok. grime & burnt on food = not ok.
