Mesh Computers PPI

Options
Did anyone else get PPI with Mesh Computers - was my 1st ever PC I bought so around 1999/2000 mark. Remember the salesman pushing PPI during the credit check even though was fully paid off in one go. Have no paperwork that I can find so not sure who the PPI was from?

Can anyone help? Thanks

No. It's pre regulation, regardless of anyone having any records from that far back.

You have already said you bought it from Mesh Computers. So, you would complain to them.

Is this correct so no point in attempting a claim?

If you paid it off all in one go you'll have paid the PPI up front but yes sadly pre-regulation complaint so going nowhere

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

With no documentation, a complaint about a computer sale almost two decades ago is a non-starter. There will be no record of the finance or any PPI. Do you even know for certain you had the insurance?

As the others have said, even in the unlikely event records have been kept, any complaint can be rejected purely on the basis that this was five or six years before the regulation of general insurance sales.

    Sorry

Thanks give it a miss I guess. Out of interest I know I did one of these free creditcheck trials like Experian and I do seem to recall the PPI for Mesh showing up. Checking all my email accounts there are no reports so I assume it was only access during the time type of reports. If I go back to Experian will they have kept a report of this?

I know Clearscore doesn't go back that long.

Experian don't have records of PPI, just credit agreements over the last 6 years.

Credit records are kept for 6 years

PPI would not show on your credit file, if you paid up front for PPI (the worst kind, single premium) and it was included on your loan then the total would be higher but the credit file would just show finance
