Using Resolver tool + what if I dont remember my account details?

Hi
Finally getting on the PPI bandwagon and I'll be making and progressing a few different banks over the years.
The details I am filling in on the Resolver Tool are very vague - for example, I dont know or have details of the account number for some of my bank or credit card accounts. Answers to a few other questions, like how was the insurance sold to me, or if i even ever had it, are very vague from my side and usually a 'dont know'
Will this hinder my case for application at all?

You just need to tell the truth. Don't make anything up.
If you don't remember, you don't remember.
However, you could help your case by writing directly to the lender, rather than using Resolver to slow it down and lose your details.0 -
If you don't have details of Bank accounts you've had and don't even know if you had PPI, then of course this will hinder any complaint (not application) you make. Will this hinder my case for application at all?
If you want a refund of PPI (if you even had it), you need to show that it was somehow mis-sold to you. Note that it's not somehow wrong simply to have an insurance policy...0
