Can a dehumidifier save energy?

Opening windows will save you even more money than running a dehumidifier. They only need to be kept ajar for a few hours and opened a little more when cooking, showering, bathing or anything else that produces moisture in the air.
My own electricity bill has dropped by around £30/year just by not having my dehumidifier turned on during the winter.0 -
If your house suffers with condensation they are a godsend but no need to use one in the summer. Just open a window instead.0
