Solar fountain

I have a solar fountain in a large plastic plant pot, the insides of the pot are getting covered with what looks like green algae, can I get something to put in the water that will remove it and stop it growing again? The fountain works ok but looking in the pot is not very nice.:D:D

You need a water clarifier or algaecide , you can get a clarifier from any petshop that has fish products for a couple of pounds I prefer to use that because birds tend to use the water feature and it wont harm them0

Assuming that it isn't that big a feature, just empty it, scrub the pot clean and put in fresh water.0
