Tips for getting a walk-in wardrobe built

I recently completed on a new home and will be furnishing over the coming weeks.
I wondered if anyone might have some tips for getting a walk in wardrobe built. Any tradesmen that you might recommend etc.
I noticed I can get a door online for about £50, then I would probably need some plaster boards as well as skirting boards and then a fitter.
Does anyone have any thoughts?

It depends on where the space is coming from whether you are knocking down any walls or creating a partition in the same room. We got a builder to do something similar for us as we were having a lot of other building work done at the same time.
I would suggest that you have your layout planned well not just the space but what is going to go into it (remember to account for the thickness of the walls into this as it can make a big difference). Think about the size of any units or modules that you might want to put in, rather than just having a rough idea of what you think that you want. If you are having a walk in presumably you will need to have a light in there, and possibly power outlets, think about where these would go.
In terms of what you need I would speak to whoever you are going to get to do it, they can probably get better prices on the materials. I imagine you would need the framing, plasterboard probably a skim coat of plaster, door, fastenings etc the rails racks and shelves etc that you will use to hang clothes, we got adjustable system so that we can swap out rails and shelves if we want to and can hang things of different lengths in different areas. Once you've done that there are the aesthetic things to consider different carpets or laminate as well as painting in the cupboard and the room.0 -

Thank you, that’s helpful.
I’m hoping to create a partition in same room. There’s no light in that section but there’s a power outlet in that particular section.0
