  • Why oh why do I bother???

Just finished speaking to my csa person...Surprise I was on hold longer than the actual phone call !!

NOTHING else has happened on my case ATALL...re the bank details she was going to check on, well as quoted by her "these things unfortunately take some time" (2 months !! yeah right) they used to have a tracing department that worked in that area, but they no longer exist so she has to find someone personally and do the work !!
So for 2 months nowt, zilch, its just been left.

She will work on it now and call me back (not holding my breath) sometime this week with some info. I am betting there will be no info and they cant find him as having a bank account...why are they wasting time with bank details when they know where he lives??
Will see if she calls me back, then will press her on compliance officer and ask her just who or what criteria has to be met for one to be sent to his addy..

Heres keeping everything crossed ;) NOT

Sorry but I don't agree that your case isn't suitable for a compliance visit. If they know where he lives, then they can send somebody round to visit him to ask how he is living as he isn't appearing to be working and isn't claiming benefits. I know, because that is what I did for a job!! In fact in my short time at work last year, I went with another inspector to do just that to find some non paying NRPs who claimed to live on nothing. Demand it again and then ask to speak to a manager to get a REASON why it isn't applicable.

Oooohhh....that sounds like a 'lively' job Kelloggs eh?!! bet you have heard every excuse under the sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Thank you very much again Kelloggs..you are too nice to have done that job ;)

K all fired up and raring for them to call me back, I cant wait to ask them AGAIN and see exactly what she has to say, will write her 'reply' down word for word as she is saying it, and let you know what she says :) Yep and failing a good enough answer I will demand a valid reason from someone 'higher-up' than her...and to think I am now looking forward to them calling me (if they do) lol
    Cheers again Kelloggs :)

I actually loved my job! It was a challenge, but I got results - not just from errant NRPs but also for those whose assessments were wrong - I tried to get cases right; whether everybody agreed with that is another matter!
  • @ Kelloggs ~ I think you are going to like this :)

Yep well they have surprised me again...got phone call (surprisingly from an 0800 tel no!!) at midday today from my lady at csa and ......they have no other info for him etc re the banking avenue SO she has filled out a form & sent it to their "Criminal Compliance Department" which is where she advised me that an officer will go to his address & she thinks they will either sit in a car and see who comes and goes at that address or knock on his door. She couldnt see anything else she could do as she has his address and no letters are being returned and its the same address each time she does a check on him :):)

Unfortunately though she couldnt give me any more info regarding what to expect next and the time frame as she doesnt work in that dept, other than if she hears anything she will call me
I gave her a description of him with relevant distinguishable marks etc ;) and hair colour/body build etc and that was that :)

So although I am now back to playing the 'waiting game' at least they have actually progressed this further. I just hope my contact doesnt leave anytime soon, I would hate having to go through all this with someone new :S

Thank you again Kelloggs you are an angel :)

You can send it a photo - it helps enourmously with the NRPs who try to deny being that person!! I had one once, who refused to accept that he was the person I was trying to get hold of. I told him that wasn't a problem as I had a picture of him, so I would be able to close the file if I attended and it wasn't him. i turned up and lo and behold, it WAS him. He sheepishly opened the door and let me in and confessed all!!!
  • Wish I could...all the 'proper' photos with him in it were taken by him when he left, along with all his documents & name change etc, there were only a few and the ones I had on my hard-drive of him got lost when I had a hd failure & I didnt back them up :(
I dont think he will change much from 4 years ago, if worst comes to the worst I can send them a pic of the kids, they are his double ! lol (poor things). Ive given a very accurate description of what he 'was' like just hope he hasnt decided to turn hippy and grow his hair long ;)

Edit: I think I remember seeing a pic of him that he posted on a dating site a few years back, will search my brain and try to figure out what site is was & grab a pic from there, maybe better than nothing :)

Good luck with the Criminal Compliance idiots. They had photo's and every detail required to deal with my ex, but still couldn't get it right. Useless bunch they are. The way they operate is criminal!
  • just to mention, I recently left my job as a legal secretary, whilst at the solicitors, my colleague was dealing with a case where her clients were versus the CSA for malpractice, it went to the High Court and they got around £60,000. Not bad eh?!

    Have you seen a solicitor?
