Anyone actually got it to work?, im using the 700 coastliner, south coast yet ive tried loads of times, all I get is the dreaded ! By the signal, and nothing downloads.!

! normally means it's not giving you an IP address. It's possible they have a small IP pool setup and aren't stupidly not clearing it quick enough. So once all used up, there may not be any free IPs available until they do a clear.

I've frequently found that I could connect to the WiFi successfully (and be allocated an IP) but that there was no internet connection. That even happened in towns where there should have been good 4G. I recall getting a working connection once on a Stagecoach bus but the norm for me was forget it and use your own 4G.

They make sutch a thing of it in their buses, in big letters "free wifi"!

It's WiFi and it's free. They didn't say free internet did they?

I find that I need to connect in a certain sequence. This is how I do it using my phone to connect to the Stagecoach system.

First, if I have wi fi turned on when I get on the bus, I turn it off, then on again. Now I go to the phones home screen and watch for a message to appear at the top - something like 'Log-on to Stagecoach ....."

Now I drag down to expose the message and I click on it. The stagecoach log-on screen appears and I click two 'accept' options. (On first use I needed to supply my email address).

After a few seconds my chosen browser (chrome) opens showing the Stagecoach home screen.

I find that If I don't follow this sequence, I never get the log-on screen.

I have heard before others on here saying it is a bit hit and miss mostly miss
