Agree Jenniewb - the Tesco rebranding cannot really beenfit anyone - apart form keeping the marketing peoole in jobs - we are not so gullible as to not realsie they are a poor replacement for the Value range - we know we are not getting a premium product!0

Some of the potato chunks in the Eastman potato salad sold in Tesco now, seem almost raw. Not a patch on the Tesco own brand.0

I see it as a big warning sign, it suggests they dropping quality, and if it gets a bad rep they can simply ditch these new brands like a rock with little damage to the tesco brand. So in my view its been done to protect the tesco brand.
On the normal branded tesco stuff I have already seen a quality drop in the past year or two, watering down etc.0 -

It's benefitting me - I bought up the shelves of Value passata and kidney beans that were all reduced for clearance yesterday.
The replacement chilli con carne is exactly the same ingredients and nutrition (at the moment) but 5p cheaper (at the moment).A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
