Mechanic or Auto Electrics for Air Blowers?
Hi,
The air blowers on my non-air-conditioned car only now work on Full (No. 4), which drowns out the radio unless it's on very loud.
I would like to to get the blowers fixed so that the mild (settings 1, 2 and 3) blowers work as well.
Is this a job mechanics do, or only Auto Electrics?
And if anyone has tips to get it done as cheaply as possible, that would be great too.
Thank you

Sounds like motor blower resistor.
But they can be placed in different locations depending on the car?
Some easy to get at, others awkward!0 -
Hope it is not a Zafira as there has been a recall!0

Its certainly a DIY job. Might also want to change your pollen filter as well as most resistor packs are put in the fresh air intake pipe for cooling and when you don't change the pollen filter the resistor packs don't get the cooling they need and burn out. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The mind boggles
Unless you mean they thought you were stealing pieces off it, an act so routine not one of them bothered to call the policeI want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

I've had a couple of fans seize up enough that only the highest setting gives enough juice to get them spinning, whilst things are apart it could be worth giving the bearings a spray or dab of grease.0
