Ebay Question

i want to buy something off ebay. If i use our ebay account, hubby will be able to see what i've looked at/bought, which i don't want, as it is his birthday present.

Would i be able to open a new ebay account, just to buy the item, or would sellers think i'm a bit dodgy, having an account with no purchases or sales.

Appreciate any help/advice. Thank you.

Every account has to start somewhere, and it is perfectly acceptable to have multiple eBay accounts anyway (for example I have one for buying and one for selling).
The only issue I foresee is that sellers can sometimes block purchases from zero feedback buyers but I don't and it's probably not the norm.

It isn't the norm as it's a myth. A seller cannot block a buyer for having zero feedback.

We used to be able to block zero feedback buyers as long as they also had no card registered on eBay, but I believe this is one of the seller preferences that has been removed (a lot have if you check). I can't check as I'm currently overseas and my internet connection is poor.
