Life Insurance / assurance: Online or broker?

Hi all.

Please could I ask for some opinions of people more experienced than I:
My wife has a life insurance policy that she completed online. I need to sort this out for myself but have been procrastinating as I cannot decide between online or broker. Please can I ask for some opinions?

Thank you. B

Its not a broker but an adviser. So, its online or adviser. Main difference is advice vs no advice.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Thank you. It seems obvious that advice / adviser is the way to go....but is it?

It depends on if you know what you're doing or not, and the fact that you're asking this question would indicate an advised sale might be best for you.

But it also depends on how complicated your requirements are. Basic life cover is very easy to get online, complicated income protection cover is not.

Without knowing anything about you, I'd be surprised if anyone can give you a helpful answer.
