Affordable CCTV / Security cameras

I'm looking for suggestions of a cost effective way to get some cameras to cover our our driveway. We don't want to get a full CCTV setup installed because we're going to be extending soon and we'll be looking to do something properly soon.

However, in the last few months we've come home to find our side gate forced open.

We haven't been broken into and nothing has bee taken. However, there have been reports of opportunist burglars recently.

There are loads of different cameras on the market and I don't know where to start. Suggestions and recommendations would be really appreciated.
