Ignored ticket lead to Gladstone Solicitors

Hello,
I have looked through the newbie thread however I can't seem to find any help.
Around February time I received a letter from PCS stating that I have received a parking charge on behalf of their client "JD Parking Consultants". I had a small idea as to where I parked that might of caused this however I was shocked as and no point had I had a parking ticket placed on my car or was i told there was an infraction. The consultant letter I received about 2 weeks after parking was the first i had heard of it.
I made the mistake of ignoring the letters thinking they would go away as they had no proof the infraction occurred and they seemed very suspicious. However the letters did no stop. After about 3 more letters for PCS the letters changed over to "Debt recovery plus" or a company with a similar name I cannot remember and no not had the letters at hand. They sent a few maybe 3 or 4 and then they stopped. Shortly after they stopped I received 2 letters from Zenith
Collections. I should note that all these letters where the same "You owe us this much pay now or go to court" into "the charge has doubled pay now else it will double again"
Finally this past week I have recieved a letter from Gladstone Solicitors stating
"Our client now has the option to commence proceedings in the appropriate Civil court" and more formalities about paying soon or being taken to court.
I understand that ignoring them was not the right idea and it will not be a mistake i make in the future however I am unsure how to handle the current situation. I do not live at the address anymore but my parents still do and it is causing them a great deal of stress receiving letters from solicitors week after week. I was considering responding calling them out and demanding proof of the infraction as there has never actually been any picture or ticket proof that I parked on the site. Is this a good idea or should I just bite the bullet and pay the fine? i am reluctant to pay the fine because of the lack of proof
I was also considering filing for harassment as before mentioned the stress it is causing my family.
Thank for you reading and I greatly appreciate and response or help

Your most recent letter... who does it suggest you pay?
Meanwhile you need to tell the parking company your current address and tell them that anything served elsewhere will be ignored.
You are doing this:
1) to avoid getting a CCJ without having the opportunity to defend yourself, and
2) to avoid more nasty mail stressing your parents, and
3) to avoid the risk of your parents deciding to 'help' and paying them for you.0 -

I wouldn't exactly call an invoice from a scammer an "infraction"!
It doesn't actually say they are taking you to court does it?
Just another scary letter, you are really in limbo unless you get real court papers, which isn't likely with these scammers but who knows!0 -

And who do they say to pay ????0 -

Did you see Flying Horse's thread today? He just got £550 costs i court (not a counter claim, cost nothing).
And:
Do not reply if a poster with less than 1000 posts sends you a private message. People lurk and pop up and post on this forum with a dark agenda. Beware of 'unknown' new posters.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
