The World of David Walliams
In 2008, David Walliams captured the imagination of young readers with his sparkling debut novel The Boy in the Dress. Ten years on, he continues to delight millions of children around the world with his heart-warming and hilarious stories, and to inspire the most reluctant of readers to curl up with a book.
From June 25th to July 1st, we will be celebrating with a week of wonderfully Walliams activities, daily challenges, games and more – all inspired by his bestselling novels and short stories.

How are you celebrating Walliams Week at your school?
Whether your learners are hosting a giant World of David Walliams quiz, reading their favourite stories to younger students, dressing up, helping Gangsta Grannies with their weekly cabbage shop or taking part in our daily challenges, we want to hear about it!
From Friday, 29 June, we’ll be inviting teachers to share their Walliams Week experiences with us here in 50 words or less. Inspire us or entertain us and your school could win an unforgettable World of David Walliams party! Download the Walliams Week Resource Pack below to get started.
This competition will be open to schools in the UK only.
