Is there anywhere that gives advice on getting the gym to cancel it?
NEWBIES thread...has a link to 'successful complaints about PPCs'.

Please read the sticky thread over the weekend, there is more there than you appear to have read, if you haven't sussed the acronyms. All is covered there.

And complain in your own words to the Gym Manager/Head Office, about how ANGRY you are to be penalised with a fake 'fine; by an aggressive company who sue people, just for being a Gym patron. The retailer/landowner can always cancel these in minutes. One email!

Much as I hate disagreeing with you C-M. :D:D

    A couple of things.

In my experience it is usually worth trying the gentle approach before the confrontational one. You can move up the gears if your first attempt doesn't work.

Secondly, this is a bit of an "it depends". We are talking about somewhere that the OP uses regularly. It is possible that she knows the staff (even a little) and it can be harder to "have a go" in these situations. I know our gym manager quite well - I am much more likely to have success with him if I knock on his door and have a chat - as opposed to firing off a snotty email

As Umkomaas says the OP is in the best position to judge how to go about things at that gym.

True - saying how angry you are at a scam, can be said politely! A fine line.

    :)

And newbies need to be aware:

Do not reply if a poster with less than 1000 posts sends you a private message. People lurk and pop up and post on this forum with a dark agenda. Beware of 'unknown' new posters.
