If I use a credit card to pay a Tradesman through TrustATrader, do I still have s75 protection?

But given a choice I wold always pay direct.0 -

In that case, the worst that can happen is that you don't get section 75 either way.0

If the tradesman doesn't turn up or does a bad job you could submit a chargeback request however nothing is guaranteed, it would depend on what went wrong.
Paying via a 3rd party doesn't affect chargebacks like it does with S75. The banks will pursue this avenue first in any case. S75 is usually a fall back if a chargeback isn't applicable.0
