Options
If I use a credit card to pay a Tradesman through TrustATrader, do I still have s75 protection?

Thanks, Zx81 but the Tradesman may not have facility for credit card processing.

In that case, the worst that can happen is that you don't get section 75 either way.

If the tradesman doesn't turn up or does a bad job you could submit a chargeback request however nothing is guaranteed, it would depend on what went wrong.

Paying via a 3rd party doesn't affect chargebacks like it does with S75. The banks will pursue this avenue first in any case. S75 is usually a fall back if a chargeback isn't applicable.
