Parcel2go or Hermes direct

I currently post my items via hermes on parcel2go because they are slightly cheaper than using Hermes directly.
But there seems to be a lot of horror stories in this forum regarding Parcel2go not paying out after items go missing.
So my question is should I pay the extra and go with Hermes, does anyone have any experience of compensation from both and whether it was smooth sailing or a really long winded experience.
