Am looking to back up some of my DVds to Divx, to be used with a MCE based setup. and store the original DVDS in the loft out of the way, Whats the best software/techique to do this?

Don't forget to install an xvid or divx codec and simply run one of the above programs. You really need to rip the dvd content onto your harddrive as that means it will encode in 'computer time' as opposed to 'real time'.
