I can't find the original description,
Log in to ebay and search your sold listings. You should also have email conformation of the sale linking to the item you can also look at your account showing sellers fees which will link to the item. Alternately search for the make and model of bike and select completed listings, yours will be there.

Business seller or not the buyer has no rights as long as it wasn't mis-described.
Totally wrong. If he was a business seller then of course the buyer would have more rights. You've been on these forums long enough to know this.

Just out of interest, what is the definition of " important bodywork" ? To say it's all present but then say some parts are missing could be open to misinterpretation(just playing devils advocate here).
You can't assume all buyers are mechanically trained.

Bodywork on a motorcycle would refer to the tank, mudguards, side panels etc. The term bodywork does open up any claim of misunderstanding.

Might be useful if you listed what he says is missing
  • Everything along those line we're there and correct, hence me describing it in that way.

We are talking about missing brake levers, fuel tap levers, switch housing from another model.
All of which are readily available remade or genuine originals for little cost. It was sold as a base for restoration, not as 'ready to go'. The price reflected the fact it was a project machine, original and complete examples sell for nearly double.

Then ignore the letter, don't even give him the time of day on this matter. The missing items are trivial.

All of which should have been seen to be missing when your buyer viewed the bike and if they had any concerns, that would have been the time to query it.
It would be different if there was something missing that could not be easily seen (such as a piston) but this doesn't like the situation here.

It's probably a case of they got it home and decided that they didn't have the money or expertise to restore it or their other half didn't like the idea so they are trying to use the missing items as an excuse for returning it.
