What to do with this old door?

Thanks everybody, I'll visit local timber merchants first to see what they've got. A friend sounded pretty confident that they would have a bead like that.

Quite excited about the process and can't wait to see the restored door!

If you really want to go full on with period fixtures & fittings, keep a look out for a suitable lock & handles.

Things have progressed slowly, not done much yet. Removed covering panels from 4 doors and discovered that 3 of them have the same issue and will need beading. Some of the beading is also missing and one of the doors doesn't have any beading on one side at all. The most exciting part was to discover that the door connecting entrance hallway and lounge was once glazed, so I'll try to return it to that state. In general doors aren't in a great condition but I'll keep them as I'm trying to keep costs down.

Couldn't find a matching beading so will get something a bit similar and fit on the sides facing internally (i.e. where only one door is in view).

Also found that door stripping isn't cheap. It might have been but not anymore. Definitely makes me consider new doors. So I'll prepare the doors differently.

Pics to follow probably will take some time though (loads of other things need to get done before that)
