Adverse possession can take 6 months with land registry to update also.
We are currently going down the tp1 route and hoping for a quick turnaround as neither property has a mortgage0 -

And looking like another £300 for land registry compliant plans!0 -
You mention the area is 1.5 sq metres of land so how far out of line is the new fence? Is sounds as if it could be very close to the outline shown on the plan - they are not accurate to the mm.
Sorry it’s actually closer to 3.5square meters swooped on either side so no loss or gain to either neighbour just a physical change to boundary0
