When was the last time you did any? £800 on my Mondeo plus an hour labour to code them into the ECU and with modern injectors they're that kind of price for pretty much everything Euro 4 and later. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I think the point OP is trying to make is that a four month wait for a part, that most manufacturers will call 'consumable', is a bit of a pi$$ take.
Mitsubishi is hardly an exotic marque.0 -
Injectors on a modern diesel are not a consumable.0

An innocent question met with some not particularly helpful comments - I was asking about the principle.
Surely if you purchase an item that is sold in a market the provider should be in a position to support the use of the product that they sold.
What market was it sold into? Was it a UK spec car? Are they popular in France?
Sure, that's a hell of a wait but I'm not sure you can claim about market support for a car that's out of warranty in a country other than the one it was bought in. I assumed with a wait that long, your breakdown cover would just be repatriating the car to the UK to have it fixed there.
Or is it a French registered car and I'm missing the point?0
