Strange results from credit card eligibility checker

Options
I have just tried the MSE credit card eligibility checker and got some strange results.

It reported that I have 0% probability for acceptance of all the listed cards, including the ones that I already hold like Amex Platinum, Amex BAPP and Lloyds Avios. Has it not got access to cards already held?

Not strange at all as the checker is looking at additional cards, not the ones you hold.

In that case, surely it should ignore those that I already hold?

Well no, because you are looking at your eligibility for another card. You would be better off looking at your credit report (either one of the three) & that shows what cards you have.

It doesn't know which cards you hold, and neither do lenders when you apply to them. They just know it a credit card account. It's saying with your current profile (available credit, level of debt, payment history) you'd be unlikely to be accepted for those cards if you were a first time customer.
