Bought a house requiring work

My husband and I have finally saved enough to purchase a house however it is in need of modernising throughout, it's a two double bedroom, two reception room, semi detached property in the North West.
It is going to need:
The two front windows replacing as they are not double glazed and the frames are rotten along with two small windows in the hall, the back of the house is recently double glazed
New front and back door
The guttering replacing
A rewire
Central Heating installing
Replaster
New kitchen
New bathroom
We have had the roof checked and it's fine and in terms of decorating we are happy to wait and do that as and when we can afford it.
We do have a bit put aside to pay for some of this but I was wondering if anyone had an idea of costing for it? We were thinking of of getting the windows, guttering and rewire done asap?
Any advice people could offer would be great as this is our first property and having been in rentals for years we have never had to deal with anything like this before. We are both very excited but I want to make sure that we don't end up costing ourselves money by rushing into getting things done in all the excitement of finally owing our own place.
Thanks in advance

It will be very expensive. Just plan it carefully, get few quotes, and do it all in one go. Don't forget costs of redecorating and new flooring. Ideally do it when house is empty before moving in

Don't rush into kitchens and bathrooms if what you have is clean and serviceable. When I bought my house 12 years ago it had the original 60s bathroom which we used for a year until the shower developed a fault that was the catalyst for a replacement bathroom. The kitchen was a ghastly wood thing with a panelled ceiling but it all worked and it was nine years before I replaced it.0

The rewire you can do yourself, but you would need to know what your are doing - read it up, and either get an electrician to check it and sign it off, or apply to the council with plans which is about £500.
