The driver didn!!!8217;t properly observe new signage and now a PCN has been received. Signage advised pay and display or free period if using a restaurant patron. Unfortunately driver was a patron next door and has appealed for leniency from the proprietor with no success.

The driver detests the idea of paying this as it will financially cripple them for the following 3-4 weeks, but is aware of ParkingEye!!!8217;s notoriety and wonders whether there is any other get-out (not a golden ticket by the looks of it) to or recommendation from the forum (does the keeper liability after 29 days hold any water?)?

Any advice most appreciated.

Thank you.

What did you learn from your skirmish with CEL?

PE is a much nastier kettle of fish. You should remember the detail from the newbies FAQ, but if not, go to post #1 and work from there.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Nope, PE get that right. Send the usual template appeal for now (online), to get a POPLA code.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
